Judge Andy Mireles Elementary,

Welcome to Mireles Elementary School! I am the proud principal of Mireles Elementary School and look forward to meeting you and your family. Together, we will create an inviting and engaging school environment for our students. I believe students succeed when they are challenged to solve problems creatively and think across all content areas. Students need engaging content to become skilled communicators and experts at managing information for the 21st century. With the support of our parents, community, teachers, students and administration, we will create a vision and mission for our 21st century learners.

During my twenty years of experience as an educator, I have served as a first grade teacher, reading specialist, education specialist, vice principal, and most recently served for five years as the principal at J.B. Passmore Elementary in Northside ISD. I received a Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Mary’s University and a Master of Arts degree from The University of Texas at San Antonio.

Mireles Elementary is named after the late Judge Andy Mireles, a long-time Judge of the 73rd District Court. His dedication to public service included all areas of civil and family law with a special commitment to the juvenile programs of Bexar County. I look forward to working with the Mireles family to ensure that we include Judge Mireles’ vision for children in our school.

In the upcoming months, we will have many opportunities to meet and begin the process of building community. I encourage you to visit our webpage for updates on meetings, enrollment procedures, and other events involving students and parents.

Again, I am extremely delighted to begin the journey of opening our new school and working together to make Judge Andy Mireles Elementary a place for our children to succeed.
